[.A2 | NATURE OBSERVATORY POST]
in Project 2: "Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality," which focused on creating a Nature Observatory Post at Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam. This project required us to apply architectural principles and explore materiality to design a space that enhances the visitor's connection with nature.
Our task was to design a simple architectural structure with an emphasis on architectonics, allowing us to express our understanding of space, form, and function. We were divided into groups to conduct site data collection, analyze the physical context, and create design vignettes that reflected our interpretation of the tropical rainforest setting.

Final Model
The project involved multiple components, including diagrams, floor plans, sections, elevations, and detail drawings. All submissions were hand-drawn, with a focus on line weights, wall thicknesses, and rendering techniques to convey materiality and structure. The final presentation required us to compile our design process, including sketches, models, and development ideas.

This project allowed me to explore the relationship between architectural principles and materiality, and how these elements contribute to creating an immersive and educational space. Through this experience, I developed a deeper understanding of the design process, from site analysis to the final execution of architectural concepts.
